I've been trying for several days to put a picture of the Potato Chip scarf on my blog... For some reason I'm having trouble... So it may not be until after Jan 1 that I am able to do so...
I can hardly believe that the pup is 7 months old already... He is growing quickly and is very playful... He's a lovable dog, as is our older fella... They are part of the family and that is just how we treat them!
Have you ever felt like you were running in circles??? Well that is how I have felt for the last few days..... Friday early I had a dental appointment for some work, which ended up being more work than I really wanted, LOL... Dh and I shopped for about 8 hours, we pretty much got the shopping done, came home, did some baking, fell asleep.. Woke the next morning and started in with more baking, cleaning, cleaning and cleaning... Wrapped the gifts, and still have a few to go...The weather here today is warm, and all the snow is melted, but the winds are terrible.............So off to do more cleaning and more baking and preparing the meal for tomorrow when ds and his lovely bride arrive. I am so excited to see my kids, I miss them terribly! I hope they are just as excited to see dh and I as we are to see them!
Lots of cities around calling Snow Emergencies......They say "STAY OFF THE ROADS"!
I will certainly do that, need to shovel a spot for the dogs and help dh get the cars cleaned off, as he has to work this afternoon, he is a Stationary Engineer at the Hospital, so he is needed.............
I'll post pictures later, after I take them of course....
I have one sock to show you... I don't think you can really see the details, too well... It was a fun knit, but unfortunately I don't think I'll get it's mate cast on until after Christmas...
We have been having some icy weather.......... Started out with a 2 hour delay, and ended as a "Cancellation". So............ a bit of knitting, baking and relaxing...
I had no idea I had been knitting the K stitch wrong. What I mean by this is; I was always knitting it in the back. Now I have a question for you knitters, what is the difference in the end product if I always knit the K stitch in the back opposed to knitting it In the front unless otherwise specified? I have noticed my speed is better when I used to always knit in the back. But hey, I wanna do this the right way!
On another note, I finished one of the Creme Heart socks, I am positive I won't have time this year to cast on it's mate, but that is ok. I'll post a picture, tomorrow, I hope!
There is a contest at Theladyknits.blogspot.com, she is giving away some terrific prizes. All you have to do is go and leave a comment concerning what you are Thankful for. Then place the blogspot on your blog.
So............... head on over there, contest ends 12/25
