SPRING FLING COFFEE and YARN SWAP

Well this weeks topic, is to look through the blogs of the swappers and find someone who has something in common with you. I know there are others who have the same taste as I do. But... I chose Tanja as she likes coffee with a RICH BOLD ROAST (Caffeinated), and that is exactly what I prefer.. I also read she collects Fabric!

FINALLY...................

I finally finished this bag. It is for a swap I am participating in. The idea is to stop
using those plastic and paper grocery bags. I already received my bag and have used it several times. These bags are alot sturdier than one would think, and they hold a ton!

Hope my partner likes it!

TIME FLIES................

Where oh where has my vacation gone??
I have accomplished a lot. I've been decluttering,
gave 8-10 boxes of stuff away, I mean "BIG" boxes..

Knitting away on dh Thuja socks, Finally made it to the Gusset.
I have several other projects on the needles..
I started a lace project, which is fun and it is my reward for
working on the socks!

Weather is sorta spring like, rainy this afternoon...

Time for some fresh coffee!

Coffee
1. What is your preference? Whole beans or ground? i ENJOY BOTH
2. What kind of coffees do you enjoy? A rich, bold roast; a light, fresh one, or something in between? Leaded or non? My favoite is rich, bold roast, but I enjoy them all
3. If you were headed out right now to buy some coffee for the house, what would you be picking up? Some Expresso
4. Do you drink for caffeine, pleasure, or both? Both
5. Do you enjoy flavored coffees? How about add-ins or flavored creamers? I enjoy them all
6. A large, lovely mug or a small, dainty cup? The Bigger the better, lol
7. Describe your perfect cup - not JUST the coffee, but how you'd enjoy it! A cup of java while I knit or read a good mystery
8. You're sitting down to enjoy a nice cup in the local coffee shop, knitting bag in hand, iPod all tuned up - or maybe you're there with a few friends for knit night! Yarn
1. Do you knit or crochet? I do both, but lately I enjoy knitting
2. What are your favorite types of yarns to work with? Natural fibers
3. What do you have on the needles (or hook!) right now? socks, scarf, dishcloth
4. What are your favorite colors in yarns? What about those that you'd never find in your stash?I love all colors, really like red, blue, green and purples, but love all colors
5. What sort of needles or hooks do you enjoy using? Any you just detest? It depends on the project
6. Are there any particular notions you absolute do NOT need? Some of us swap a lot - are you sure that you have enough tape measures to last your lifetime? Enough stitch markers to mark every stitch of a 10 foot wide afghan? I'm always misplacing my notions, and I love to have some for every knitting bag..There are times I grab a bag to take and the notions are MIA
7. You walk into the yarn shop and have exactly and only enough money to purchase 2 skeins of yarn in their 2 for 20 special they have going..The choices are a soft, thick cotton/viscose blend in your favorite colors, slightly variegated..a beautiful sock yarn that's just squishy and sproingy in your hands.. a soft, worsted weight wool like malabrigo.. and a lovely bamboo blend with colors to just die for. Which do you walk out the door with? Now that is a tough question, I guess I'd have to eeny meeny miney moe the yarns, lol
Spring
1. We're starting sign-ups on the first day of Spring - is it already truly Spring-like where you are? Not really there is still some snow on the ground.........
2. What's your favorite spring flower? Do you have one? Tulips
3. What do you most look forward to about springtime? being able to be outside and enjoy knitting on the back porch
4. They've predicted a gorgeous day tomorrow - Sunny and about 65 with a nice breeze - how do you spend your day? Dooing a little gardening and knitting on the back porch with a cup of Java
5. The day after, it's going to be cooler and pouring down rain - does that impact your mood? How do you spend that day? what helps cheer you up? Doesn't really bother me, I'll just be knitting as long as I don't have to work

1. Do you collect anything BESIDES yarn and needles? Crosses and sheep
2. Are you allergic to anything? no
3. Do you have pets? yes, 2 dogs 1 Angora bunny and 4 birds

ISE6 (International Scarf Exchange6)

Here is the yarn I'm using for the ISE6 swap.

This is really going to be a neat scarf,

I just may have to knit a few more of these..

I sure hope my partner loves the scarf!

I LOVE THIS YARN!

I absolutely "Love" this yarn,

I made a clutch, that still needs to be felted,

but this yarn was lucious to knit with...

Maybe just maybe I'll get it felted while on spring break..
