Summer Fun!

Wow I can not believe summer has slipped away so quickly... Well another mini break.. So there has been some fun going on and more to come.. I've sewn some bags for my knitting projects... And.. tomorrow starts the Stephen West Mystery Kal... I am so excited...

Do you see what I see? I was so amazed to see mama bunny when I took the dog out this morning.. I know her family can't be far... I am pretty sure I know where her burrow is...This is the best part of living in the country...

Onto knitting!! I've finished my Sedona, but... I realized I knit the whole thing on a size 5 needle. I thought I was knitting it on a 6, but nope...So I may have to frog it back to the collar and reknit... Only time will tell...

Totally Amazed!

It totally amazes me how time can slip away...I often think about blogging, but there is just so much I want to do, and limited time.

This little man is number one in my life! Makes my heart sing every time I get to see him! We enjoyed some breakfast together on the morning we left to come home.. "Little man" I love you so much!

Next onto a project I finished...




Knitting is #1 on my list these days... It really helps when I get a little time off and can focus on what I really enjoy! This is the Mystery Shawl I knit this month. It was a fabulous knit... I dyed the shawl and had a bit of a problem with the dye. So I am thinking of overdying it...I definitely have plans on knitting another of these... Next time a bit larger...

Time slips by...

Looks as though I need to update here... Where has the time gone? I guess it slipped by... I've been knitting and just doing the normal stuff..

DH and I noticed there was a Woodpecker in one of our pines. He really made a mess out of the tree...Apparently he decided to fly off.. Have not seen him in a few days...

SNOW is coming!

Well looks like we are in for a snow storm! They are saying we could get 10-18 inches of snow along w/ freezing rain.. This should all happen tuesday through wednesday.. I'll have to keep my camera handy...

Knit Meter

I'm hoping to start keeping track of my knitting with Knitmeter. I'm not sure how to get it to my blog.. But .. I hope to see how much yarn I've knit up in 2011.

Sweet treats..

Well I've finally got the sweet treats done. I made thumbprint cookies, puppy chow, Brickle, peanut butter fudge & buckeyes. Most of this will be leaving the house so as not to "TEMPT" me... I love baking and making things for others...

Back to knitting!

Christmas Break

Christmas break has officially started."yay!" I decided to purchase some yarn.. So now I am anxious to recieve it... I'm making a purl ridge scarf for a dear friend and I am also planning on making a sweater, hope I finish this one!

Much to do before Christmas Eve gets here...
I should be updating my blog more often.. I hope.

Weekend!

Can not believe it has been such a long time since I have blogged.. Time just seems to slip by..

It's cookie baking time, and I'm making much less than I have in the past.. I sure do not need any sugary goodies hanging out at my house... So today was the day to bake the most delicious cut out cookies I have ever eaten. Thanks to my friend Mary for the recipe..

Now onto the most important stuff.. How can you not love this cute face?

It's been a while...

I know it has been quite some time since I've posted here.. Seems life just gets in the way! I wanted to share my latest photo of our little man.. He is so darn precious!!

CELEBRATION!

This weekend we celebrated my dad's 80th birthday.. My son and his family and my brother and his family were all here to celebrate the day with dad! The weather was beautiful so we were able to have a cookout!

Now to realx and enjoy the day with some knitting...

Spring Break!

As usual I have too many things on the needles...But that will hopefully get worked out here soon. Or shall I say.. "sooner or later"..

I'm on spring break for a week and the weather is so nice.. I think spring is finally here..

We are having a party at our house on saturday so lots of preparation to be done. Including cooking...SO it will be a busy week ahead!

Wanted to share.................

I wanted to share a wee bit of our dog Roscoe with you! He loves to be a part of everything that happens here at home. In fact he loves to go with dh to take the plastics to the recycling center... Here he wanted to get in on wearing the Tam I knit! hahaha

Slipping by...............

My goodness this month is just slipping by...
I've got 3 things I've been working on and soon to be a 4th.
First I have the Moxie that needs one more sleeve.
Secondly there is the Mondo cardi I had to put down so I could
work on Sophie. She (Sophie) is an Easter gift for the little man..
I have the ears to finish and then I can get back to Moxie & Mondo.
On monday the 15th we are casting on for a KAL.. That is going to be
very exciting as I know the designer and the CKW group will be doing this
together...
Hopefully pictures to follow sooner than later...

Took Forever...

I can not believe it toook me so long to complete these socks.. I cast on in June of 2009 and finished them this past weekend on our way to cincinnati.. I knit these for my lovely niece...

Fabulous Weekend!

What a fabulous weekend we had.. now it is time to get back to reality.. Travel will happen here in a bit and then once we hit our destination, we will be ready to relax!

I did get some serious knitting done.. which makes me quite happy! It is not often that I am able to finish a project and this one had been on the needles since June of 2009.

Well Monday was the first day back to work.
Tons of prep for the kids who return next week!

Had our CPR and First Aid Certification on Tuesday...
Today and the rest of the week will be cleaning and making materials!
